The study programme combines practical, hands-on experience at FC Midtjylland’s training ground with formal education and personal development at ISI Højskole.

Study Programme Overview
As a Set-Piece Analyst for the First Team, you will work closely with the Set-Piece Coach, Analysis Department, and First Team coaching staff. This study programme focuses on developing advanced skills in set-piece analysis within professional football, covering both team and opposition analysis. It develops the ability to communicate clear, actionable insights through reports, presentations, and live support in training and match environments, including pre-match, half-time, and post-match feedback. In addition, it promotes practical involvement in on-field support and collaboration within a high-performance environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Opposition Set-Piece Analysis
- Analyse opposition attacking and defensive set-pieces, identifying strengths, weaknesses, patterns, and trends.
- Maintain and develop opposition set-piece databases to support efficient match preparation.
- Deliver clear and actionable insights to the Set-Piece Coach through reports, presentations, and video analysis.
- Integrate video, data, and technology-driven insights into the analysis process.
- Provide live analytical support during training sessions and matches when required.
First Team Set-Piece Analysis
- Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the team’s attacking and defensive set-pieces
- Provide match-day set-piece insights and reminders to the Set-Piece Coach before matches, during matches, and at half-time to help inform tactical adjustments and on-pitch organisation
- Produce post-match reviews using video and performance data.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of team set-piece actions and performance metrics.
- Be able to set up Trackman and utilise data to improve individual player set piece performance.
Research and Innovation
- Monitor set-piece trends, best practices, and emerging innovations across professional football.
- Collaborate with the Performance Analysis and Data departments to enhance the club’s set-piece processes and methodologies.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with the Set-Piece Coach, Analysis Department, and wider First Team coaching staff.
- Provide on-field coaching support, including the delivery of player-facing presentations during training, and assist the Set-Piece Coach with any in-session requirements.
- Contribute to departmental projects, research initiatives, and wider analysis workflows as required.
- Maintain high professional standards through continuous professional development and learning.
- Educational Component at ISI Højskole
Alongside your practical work at FCM, you will attend courses at ISI Højskole. Here, you will:
- Complete the UEFA C Coaching License
- Learn about FCM’s Style of Play
- Explore specialist football disciplines
- Gain insights into Danish football culture
- Live and learn in a professional and supportive environment

- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is an advantage

- Financials: The study programme is unpaid, but all board and lodging are covered
